Quaker Tapestry Museum

 

Explore 350 years of social history and Quaker stories…in stitch!

Journey through the industrial revolution, developments in science and medicine, astronomy, abolition of slavery, social reform, ecology and peace.

4,000 men women and children from over 15 countries ‘had a hand’ in its creation.

In addition to one of the world’s largest tapestry’s, the museum also features temporary displays; Money, Shoes, Chocolate and all that which explores Quakers in business, The Barrett Counterpane, a 19th century friendship quilt.

Free audio guides bring the panels to life, with quizzes, dressing up and games for children. Free car park and café.
